Pierre Comtois has been photographing a variety of assignments for over 20 years.

After studying photography at Dawson Institute of Photography, in Montreal, Pierre moved to Los Angeles to pursue his career. He is now looking forward to working both in Montréal and in California.

"I realized early in my career that I enjoyed diversity in my assignments; that is why I can photograph a house on Monday, products on Tuesday, food on Wednesday, a corporate assignment on Thursday and maybe shoot an editorial on Friday!

I like the challenges of photographing so many different and varied assignments. Some are very technically challenging while others are more about connecting with your subject.

I am constantly working on new projects, and there is always something new to learn. It keeps life interesting, it keeps the assignments interesting, it keeps photography interesting."

Pierre a photographié une très grande variété d'affectations différentes au cours de sa carrière de plus de 20 ans.

Après avoir étudié la photographie à l'institut Dawson, à Montreal, Pierre est déménagé à Los Angeles pour poursuivre sa carrière. Il veut maintenant partager son temps entre le Québec et la Californie.

"J'ai réalisé très tôt dans ma carrière que j'aimais la diversité dans mon travail; c'est pour ça que je peux photographier  une maison le lundi, des produits le mardi, de la bouffe le mercredi, un travail corporatif le jeudi et peut-être un éditorial le vendredi!

J'aime bien les challenges de photographier différents travails. Certains demandent de la compétence technique, alors que d'autres te demandent un rapport plus humain.

Je travaille régulièrement sur de nouveux projets, et il y a toujours quelques choses à apprendre. Ça garde la vie intéressante, le travail intéressant et la photographie intéressante!"
